Fragments that Remain

  • Fraserburgh Heritage Centre Quarry Road Fraserburgh, Scotland, AB43 United Kingdom (map)

Fragments that Remain is a photographic exhibition featuring the work of Jennie Milne. Jennie’s mother was abandoned at wartime babies home in 1943, and little was known of her Polish parents. Following Jennie’s search to uncover her grandparents history, she documented the individuals who formed a significant part of her research. This led to a desire to photograph descendants of Polish soldiers in the North East Scotland fishing town of Fraserburgh (where Jennie lives with her family) and other regions in the U.K.

Jennie, a married mother of nine is currently studying for a B.A. Hons in Communication and Design/ Photography at Grays School of Art , Aberdeen.

The exhibition is hosted by the Fraserburgh Heritage Centre and will be open to members of the public from April 1st 2019 - October 31st 2019.

Jennie wishes to thank the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Edinburgh for their support.
